Meet our New Zealand Walking Guides

All Unlimited New Zealand walking guides live and work in New Zealand and love sharing their passion and knowledge of the country with others.  Our small groups mean your guide will always be available and will be someone you really get to know, not just someone giving out instructions and hotel keys.

On a multi-day tour your guide will spend a lot of time with you not only in the outdoors but also enjoying some great New Zealand food and a cold drink after a long walk.

Our guides have a wide variety of backgrounds, most having traveled extensively themselves and having a passion for the cultures and people of the world.

All UNZ walking guides hold the required industry first aid certifications.

What customers said about our guides

We really had a fun day out walking, it was like being shown around by an old friend!

I was really impressed by our guide's knowledge of local history and the environment. Today has inspired me to get out walking more when I get home.

I have been on several guided walking tours before but this was the best by far, Andrew really looked after us and I will never forget this trip. I had always wanted to walk in New Zealand and now I have, thanks!
