Hi and thanks for visiting our website.
Ever since I was a teenager I knew I wanted to have my own business and in late 2002 it was time to give it a go. When I started out I wanted to offer the type of itineraries that no one else was doing and set off with a big road trip around the South Island checking out lots of different walking tracks. I spent a couple of months living out of my trusty old 4WD and in the process did a lot of walking: Stewart Island, the Hump Ridge track, Mount Cook, Arthur’s Pass, the West Coast, Hanmer Springs, Nelson Lakes, the Queen Charlotte track and Abel Tasman National Park.
My experiences on these tracks and guiding on the Milford and Routeburn tracks over 4 seasons convinced me of what I had suspected all along: The South Island of New Zealand has a lot of fantastic places for walking.
So I was off on my journey and began leading guided walking tours that summer. Over six years on and the company has grown but the focus is still the same: showing people a great day out on the best walking tracks we can find. I am now living in Christchurch so am focusing on the Canterbury region and started our Arthur’s Pass one day tour in 2005. As well as this we still run small group multi-day walking tours in the best walking areas in the South Island.

I am writing this in the middle of a Christchurch winter with snow on the mountains but spring and the walking season not too far away. I always look forward to a new season, meeting new people and spending some time in the outdoors together.
Thanks and I hope to see you here sometime soon!
